My Crypto-Sack

Everybody calls it their “bag.” Mine is more like a sack, satchel, or that bandana tied to a stick that vagabonds carry from town to town with I’m guessing cans of beans and toothpicks in it. Anyway… Here’s what’s in my crypto-sack:

ADA – Cardano: Everybody’s favorite little darling. Rock solid development team. Probably the best chance to overtake Ethereum, but not any time soon. This is a HODLr.

CHAIN – Chain Games: Cool little project that aims to allow normal folks to wager money across the world on competitive vidja games. MID OR FEED LOLZZ

ATOM – Cosmos: Internet of blockchains ecosystem. Honestly I took a position in ATOM mainly because Exodus Wallet had a 14% APY staking program one day and I was like… Yeah that’s pretty good.

COVAL – Circuits of Value: This project is super cool. It basically allows anyone to create a vault made up of a bunch of coins of their choice, and then lets them trade it. Think of it like making your own little personalized mutual fund based on crypto. It’s not Uncool. Also, their lead dev is active in their Telegram Group, and will answer questions from randos like me.

DOT – Polkadot: Open-source network of networks that is scalable and easy to upgrade… or so the internet tells me. I got a good staking rate on this at Kraken.

DEXM – DexMex: This one is kind of a moonshot. Low-cap governance coin for the DEXMEX trading platform which allows anyone to long/short a bunch of crypto pairs. You can stake on their platform and receive rewards paid out in Ethereum.

I ain’t tellin’ nobody to buy nothing. Remember that Crypto is volatile. If you scare easy, maybe mosey on down the road and get yourself a nice Certificate of Deposit 😉

Skepticism, and Pragmatic Decision-making

*Deep inhale*

Skepticism is fundamental to developing a realistic, consistent world-view. It’s paramount to the practice and philosophy of science. It’s a valuable tool in navigating life. Without a healthy amount of skepticism, one is destined to fall victim to any skilled orator, passionate leader, or charismatic con-man. Wanna buy some land? I’ve got a hell of a deal on some ocean-front property in Arizona! Half price just for you!

When you are first told about the Market Makers in the foreign exchange market (and other markets as well), you *should* be skeptical. You should withhold belief. But, I ask that you don’t follow that up with immediate dismissal. Rather, why not try what I did? Accept the story, not as truth, but as a mental framework. Use the principles to guide your decision-making in the market for a while. See what your results are. Track your trades, and the logic that you used to make your analysis. I am doing that right now. I’ve made dozens of projections from this mental framework, and my success rate thus far is shockingly high. I only just began trading on my live account, and as of tonight I am 2 for 2 wins, and I am in a profitable trade right now.

Does that mean that the story behind the Market Maker hypothesis is true? Nope. Not at all. What it does confirm for me however, is that the mental framework….works. And at the end of the day, if framing my thoughts this way helps me free the sad little pips, then I really couldn’t care less whether or not the background story is true.

The Tragic Story of the Pips

Friends, the world is a cruel place. Sadly, an entire population of beautiful creatures known as Pips are, as we speak, being held captive by greedy manipulative shadowy figures known only in whispered circles as the Market Makers. These poor Pips are subject to all manner of mistreatment at the hands of the Makers. They don’t belong in captivity. No. The Pips should be free. I will be documenting my mission to liberate as many Pips as possible, one trade at a time. Market Makers, your days are numbered.
